Ingredients :


Crispy Semolina / Sooji / Rava Paniyaram Ingredients

Semolina / Sooji / Rava - 1 cup
Maida - 3/4 cup
Water - 2 cups
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Cooking Soda - 1 pinch (helps to become crispy)
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Oil to fry.

Method :


Steps To Make Paniyaram : (shown in above image)
  • First soak semolina / sooji / rava for 15min with 2 cup of water.
  • Drain the excess water.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Then gradually add maida, cardamom powder and cooking soda, mix well  in a idly batter consistency and the batter should not be watery.
  • Finally add ghee and again mix well.


  • Use ladle and pour the batter into hot oil in medium flame, fry until golden brown colour on both side. And ready to serve.
