Simple Pototo Masala Poriyal with Coconut Milk


Ingredients :

Simple Pototo Masala Poriyal with Coconut Milk

Potatoes - 250 gm (peel off the skin and chop into 1")
Thick Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Small Onion - 50 gm (chopped)
Garlic - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Simple Pototo Masala Poriyal with Coconut Milk

  • Heat Oil in a Kadai, roast Cumin Seeds, add Onion and Garlic saute until light golden colour.
  • Add chopped Potato and saute for 2-3 Min's in medium flame.
  • Add Red Chili Powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder and required Salt, saute until raw smell leaves.

Simple Pototo Masala Poriyal with Coconut Milk

  • Finally add Coconut Milk, close the lid and cook for 4-5 Min's in medium flame until there should not be moisture. Ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Drum Stick - Sambar, Curd and Simple Rasam or Chapati
