Cabbage / Muttai Kosu Poriyal
Ingredients :

Cabbage / Muttai Kosu Poriyal

Cabbage / Muttai Kosu - 2 cups (finely chopped)
Green Gram (skinless, split) - 1/2 cup (boiled with Turmeric Powder)
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Green Chili - 2 nos (split)
Ginger - 1 tsp (grated or finely chopped)
Coconut Shreds - 1/4 cup
Mustard Seeds  - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Oil - 2 tbsp
Water - 1/4 cup
Salt to taste.

Method :

Cabbage / Muttai Kosu Poriyal

  • Heat Oil in a Kadai, to temper, add Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal, after splutter add Onion, Green Chili and Curry Leaves, saute until light golden colour.
  • Then add Cabbage / Muttai Kosu, saute for an minute.
  • Sprinkle Water, close the lid and cook for 5 mins in simmer.
  • Add Ginger and saute for an minute.

Cabbage / Muttai Kosu Poriyal

  • Add Boiled Green Gram and required Salt, saute for an minute.
  • Finally add Coconut and stir well for few seconds, ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Sambar Rice.
