Carrot Beans Moong Dal Poriyal | Carrot Beans Stir Fry


Ingredients :

Carrot Beans Moong Dal Poriyal | Carrot Beans Stir Fry

Carrot - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Beans - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Moong Dal - 1 and 1/2 tbsp (2mins boiled with 1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder)
Coconut Shreds - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Green Chili - 2 nos (slits)
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Oil - 1 tbsp
Water - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Carrot Beans Moong Dal Poriyal | Carrot Beans Stir Fry

  • First temper Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal with hot Oil. Add Onion, Curry Leaves and Green Chili, saute til light golden brown colour.
  • Add Carrot and saute for half a minute.
  • Add Beans and again saute for half a minute.
  • Then sprinkle Water and cook for 3 to 5mins in simmer.


  • Add required Salt and mix well, then add Moong dal and cook for an minute.
  • Finally add Coconut, stir well and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Sambar Rice or Rasam
